The idea of a small candle holder conjures up visions of an old fashioned Charles Dickens character dressed in a night shirt and long night cap, with candle held aloft making his way  through the dark corridors of a drafty old mansion. It is in this nostalgic spirit that we offer these fine candle holders so as to light your path as you travel the dark, drafty corridors of your own castle.

Notice that our candle holders are offered with a set of candles for each style. After all, what's the use of a candle holder without a candle? Please note that in addition to the traditional tapers, we also offer regular candle sticks.

These unique candle holders were designed by renowned Texas artist, Martha Pool, and made with salvaged iron, marble, glass, and other vintage materials. Each of these holders is further enhanced by the warm glow and delicate fragrance of pure, hand-poured beeswax candles.

From a long-held interest in art and collecting objects of antiquity sprang the idea to assemble pieces from the past for aesthetic as well as functional purposes. With an eye toward appreciation for things of the past, Texas artist Martha Pool delights in the discovery of older cast aside elements. Her one-of-a-kind assemblages function as candlesticks, vases, bowls, and other sculptural objects.
